Anyway, I'm writing this, because I would like to present my review of one book (precisely only the part of it, because that's all I managed to translate on English for now - when I translate the rest [and trust me, there is a shit load of text] I'll put it all together in next Journal Entry).
For every kind of improvement I'll be very grateful.
Okay enough of this boring shit of mine - now you can simply enjoy my efforts XD
Kordian
I would like to heartily greet you, nobles ladies and gentlemen and really thank you for the time what you want to expend to read my homely efforts which show like I'm touching the problem connected with young people, that're not reading the books.
Not many people likes school's obligatory books, that's why I decided to take a closer look at it and find out, why books, that teachers are ordering us to read, are considering as bad, boring, and even enough painful that actually reading it can burn someone's brain off.
As the first book, I decided to present is "Kordian"* ("Kordian" is not only a title, but also a main's character name. I don't know how is Kordian in English, but personally I would translate it as "Retared", yes.) by Juliusz* (Julius) Slowacki. This book is probably known to the every Pole, that managed to survive to the second class in lyceum after all, we have to read this book, or at least the gist. The very title hero without a doubt, haven't stolen one's heart but I can be wrong, at all even the God doesn't know everything. Kordian often runned off at the mouth, like a gimpy, he was also indecisive - and, without the shadow of a doubt, ment. He wasn't even intelligent, but he has the sparks sometimes - at last even the dumbests have them.
However although his naivety and inborn foolishness - do the tale was really that bad? After all it tells us about certain time of Poland! Thus we can count on one big piece of great literature - leaving out many threads with main hero - thanks to whose we can learn a bit about my country!
Let's take a closer look to this wonderful book, to get round what author has prepared for us!
"The Preparation Action takes the place on 31 December 1799 in Twardowski's digs in Karpatys mountains."
Didn't I told you so? Already at the very beginning we can spot beautifully commencing tale - the digs, the mountains, the winter - this book CANNOT be bad!
There meet witches and devils, that set move the
. . . There meet witches and devils, that set move the
What!? What the, huh, wha, the hell?! WHAT!? Witches?! Devils!?
There is no other way, Ive to go through this. . .
The Devils steals a year from the God and initiate the new age. Then they're speaking about the nation that will: "stand up, win and die", and the Mefistofel is praying the prayer of resurrection for yonder nation.
Is this Kordian for sure? The more I explore in this tale, the more I doubt about that...
Naturally we have here an allusion to the situation of Poland before outbreak of November's unrest.
Thank God!
After that the devils are creating in the kettle the future leaders of unrest.
That's it, I propose to skip the prologue. . .
